Nike Air Force 1 "Closing Ceremonies"

The Beijing Olympics are coming to an end this weekend and Nike is celebrating it with yet another special release - the Nike Air Force 1 “Closing Ceremonies”. What other color than gold could the sneaker have come in? None, right. It also features a laser etched graphic over the upper.
The sneaker will come in a special 080808 box and will be released on August 25th.

Clarks Wallabee “Chinese Dragon Print”

Hardly any apparel company passes the opportunity to bring out a product with a Chinese theme, linked to the 2008 Olympics. The same holds true for Clarks, which brings their classic Wallabee boot, featuring a chinese dragon print. The upper turns out to look like traditional Chinese silk.
Atmos will get them in August.

Nike 6.0 "Lightning Bolts" BMX Exhibition

As Nike vamps up for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, we saw an increased attention to sports specific offerings. For the BMX events, a special Dunk Gyrizo was created. With that in mind, the recent Nike Sportswear re-launch in Beijing presented another opportunity for Nike to push its association with the extreme sport. The Lightning Bolts exhibition featured not only a live demo by Nike 6.0 riders, Mike Spinner, Maxime Charveron and Nigel Sylvester but also various other exhibitions. A series of artist customized name plates were on hand as well as a display of Michael Lau’s special Nike Blazer for the China BMX Federation.

Nike 706 - 100 Innovations

Designated as an up and coming arts district in China’s capital, Beijing 798 houses numerous art and cultural advancements. In conjunction with the monumental events set to take place this year with the Olympics in Beijing, Nike 706 was created by the innovative sportswear brand to offer attendees a sense of what Nike has accomplished over the years and ultimately highlight their self-proclaimed and well deserved title as the sporting world’s most cutting edge and technology driven brand around. The direction of the exhibition revolved around 100 of Nike’s finest accomplishments in the sporting arena, ranging from its roots in running to accolades in basketball, soccer and cycling among other sports. Actual samples were on hand including Michael Johnson’s infamous gold track spike, various signature models and apparel as well as interactive displays.

Nike Launches the Hyperdunk

Nike with the help of Kobe Bryant launched the Nike Hyperdunk, the latest addition to their basketball offering and in line with the Beijing Olympics this summer in China.
“Our performance product for Beijing is some of the best work Nike has ever done,” said Nike President and CEO Mark Parker. “The Nike Hyperdunk is a prime example of our commitment to deliver extraordinary innovation and lightweight performance product to the world’s best athletes. Every gram counts in competition. Athletes need superior lightweight footwear and apparel that they can compete in with confidence and that’s exactly what we’ve created for them.”
