2-Day Mammoth Snowboarding
Written by Robert on March 24, 2009 – 3:02 pm -
This weekend I am going to be in Mammoth Mountain snowboarding on a last minute 2-day trip I was invited to. I usually hit the local slopes that are only 3-hour drives so this will be interesting. If anyone else heads up to Mammoth this season keep your eye out for Envee Apparel stickers on the slopes. A photo and location email will get your a FREE SHIRT + shipping. Send all emails through the contact form or email to info [at] EnveeApparel [dot] com.

Best Wanted Ad EVER!
Written by Robert on March 13, 2009 – 6:00 am -I was going through the paper and ended up in the classifieds. As I browsed through (not much to see) I saw the best “wanted” ad ever. The concept “cash only” even makes it better.

Reebok Reverse Jam - Mile High Collection
Written by Robert on March 5, 2009 – 2:40 pm -
In an effort to go where no shoe company has gone before, Reebok will be releasing a pack of their Reverse Jam Franchise taking inspiration from several International Airline companies. Creative? Or is Reebok just running out of ideas? I have to admit though, I am feeling the Dutch based KLM Airline inspired kicks (those are the ones with the all blue upper and navy highlights). Among the others being represented are Air Thai (white/purple/gold/pink), Alitalia (white/green/red/gold), Air China (gradient royal blue/white/red), and Emirates (white/red/green/black/gold). The collection releases on March 13th in Hong Kong, hurting your wallet for about $83 US.

Interesting Information
Written by Robert on February 26, 2009 – 11:42 am -In the 1400’s a law was set forth in England that a man was allowed to beat his wife with a stick no thicker than his thumb. Hence we have ‘the ruleof thumb’
Many years ago in Scotland , a new game was invented. It was ruled ‘Gentlemen Only…Ladies Forbidden’.. .and thus, the word GOLF entered into the English language.
The first couple to be shown in bed together on prime time TV was Fred and Wilma Flintstone.
Every day more money is printed for Monopoly than the U.S. Treasury.
Men can read smaller print than women can; women can hear better.
Coca-Cola was originally green.
It is impossible to lick your elbow.

Real Life Smurfs?
Written by Robert on February 19, 2009 – 9:31 am -
Fans dressed as smurfs watch women’s Six Nations game between Wales and England. I grew up watching smurfs cartoon for a bit, so when I saw this picture it really struck me. In the cartoon I don’t remember them throwing back a pint of beer.

Sara Palin?
Written by Robert on January 27, 2009 – 3:49 pm -
This is the funniest picture ever. We almost official became a redneck country. This is a really good photoshopped photo. What cracks me up, is the fact that she is holding a BB gun.

The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe?
Written by Robert on January 16, 2009 – 2:00 pm -Why this Recipe?
This recipe comes from the July 9, 2008 New York Times. I haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds promising! They interviewed several professional bakers to get their cookie tips, and this is the recipe published in the paper. It mentions several crucial factors: cooling the dough before baking (which has a similar function as using only 1 stick of butter in my current favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe), making large cookies (which I do anyway!), using 60%+ cacao chocolate disks, and sprinkle the tops of the balls of dough with sea salt before baking. Once I try this recipe for myself, I’ll pass judgment.
More after the drop. Read more »

Louis Vuitton to Celebrate Sprouse Collection
Written by Robert on January 6, 2009 – 2:28 pm -
Like the artist and designer who inspired the new collection, Louis Vuitton is heading downtown for its new Stephen Sprouse collection.
This week, the company’s boutique on SoHo’s Greene Street will be transformed into a Sprouse destination in time for the collection’s arrival.
“SoHo is a special place for the entire launch of the Sprouse collection,” said Daniel Lalonde, Louis Vuitton North America president and chief executive officer. “It’s in the proximity of where Stephen Sprouse hung out, so we are going to give the entire store a Stephen Sprouse feel. It will have a lot of reminders of Stephen Sprouse. We will be giving it a new identity.”
For instance, the company is wrapping the store in vinyl and spray painting neon graffiti all over the facade. The window display will feature a 6-foot neon light installation in Sprouse’s Rose motif. The store’s interior, enhanced with black brick wall facing, will also be sprayed with the neon graffiti.
